From Ashes to Amen: Welcome to my blog! This is a space God has called me to create – where faith meets honesty, and biblical truth meets real life. Here, we talk about the hard things: the questions people avoid, the struggles we carry quietly, the convictions that challenge us, and the hope that anchors us. My heart is to dig deep into scripture, uncover what the Bible really says, and walk with you through topics that refine, stretch, and strengthen our faith. Whether you’re seeking clarity, comfort, or understanding of God’s word, this is a place for raw truth, grace, and spiritual growth. I’m so glad you’re here.
This blog is to touch hearts who are hardened because of trauma, disappointments, and the thought that they will never matter. But I have news for you. You do matter. I know you may be thinking, “You can say I matter but where’s your proof?” Well, a dear friend of mine by the name of Jesus proved it and I’m here to tell you the good news. He saved me and I believe He can save you, too.
I am so happy you’re here.
Now, let me tell you about myself. My name is Lauren Parker and I am twenty-three years old. I was raised in the small town of Swanville, Maine. I moved to Maryland when I was about 10 years old and three months later, my family ended up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and have been here since. I will forever be proud to be from Maine but Pennsylvania is the place where I’ve received the most blessings. I have a three-year-old golden retriever named Dixxon who is my best friend. I am convinced that he is me but as a dog to the point where we are allergic to the same thing. So for anyone who ever invites us to their house, I beg you to not if you have fleas. I also have been in an almost 6 year relationship with my favorite person, Mason. He makes me feel safe and brings my crazy my mind to peace. I have two very loving and supportive parents. I’m so thankful for the example they are to me. With them, comes my 3 sisters and 1 brother whom I hold dear to my heart. I currently work in the finishing department at a cabinetry shop. I love design, creativity, and organizing which I feel is used well within my career. I am always down for a roadtrip, line-dancing, or taking photos with my friends. Take me to a coffee shop and I’ll be your best friend.
But my life goal though is to spread the love of Jesus to others. That’s what a lot of this blog is going to be about. How even on your worst days, the Lord wants you so bad. So, come. Hold my hand. And let’s get through this together.
