From Ashes To Amen

Welcome to my blog! This is a space God has called me to create – where faith meets honesty, and biblical truth meets real life. Here, we talk about the hard things: the questions people avoid, the struggles we carry quietly, the convictions that challenge us, and the hope that anchors us. My heart is to dig deep into scripture, uncover what the Bible really says, and walk with you through topics that refine, stretch, and strengthen our faith. Whether you're seeking clarity, comfort, or understanding of God's word, this is a place for raw truth, grace, and spiritual growth. I'm so glad you're here.

GOD DOESN’T CALL THE QUALIFIED, HE QUALIFIES THE CALLED

What’s my purpose? What’s my calling? Why am I here? Those are all questions that I have been asking for years. First, let’s differentiate what if means to have a purpose and what it means to be called.

Purpose is the why behind your life. It is the reason God created you. You have a purpose because you were a part of His plan for creation.

Matthew 22:37-39

1 Corinthians 10:31

Romans 8:29

Your purpose is about who you are meant to be. You are a reflection of God’s love, character, and goodness in the world. And what a beautiful thing.

For me personally, I felt God has had a calling for me. I had a dream one day that I was going to be speaking about the hard parts of life and how it is unfair. How things sometimes don’t go our way, how I just want to be able to do things on my own terms, and even going through those thoughts of “but I’m a good person”. So real.

Calling is how you live out that purpose. It’s a bit more specific. It typically relates to the gifts you have, passions, opportunities, and even season of life.
